Sunday 4 May
The Cross is already celebrated for all kinds of indulgences. But at this year’s Kings Cross Food and Wine Festival on Sunday 4th May everyone gets a taste and a treat!
In the home to some of the finest dining establishments, acclaimed bars and famed night clubs this daytime event will showcase the eclectic specialties of the area.
From the fine cuisine of Sirocco, Libertine and Gazebo Wine Garden, to the hearty Czech fare and beer of Prague and the luscious gelato from Teahna Banana Gelateria, to the Lamingtons and Chocolate Crackles presented by the Darlinghurst School P&C. Major NSW producers, such as Petersons and Tamburlaine, and boutique vineyards, such as RidgeView, can be sampled and many other gourmet products likewise can be tasted and purchased.
‘The entertainment will be a major part of the day,’ said event producer Stephen Carnell ‘our belly dancing guy Shiva is a hit with all ages - and persuasions - and our Latin dance troupe will get everyone swinging their hips’.
And our amazing cross-dressing French chef, Claire de Lune, is compare for the day!
It is the fantastic mix of social, economic and gender diversities that makes the area - simply called ‘The Cross’ - such a popular place in Sydney’s cultural life.
